Privacy Policy

FundedNext:Charts
Effective 22 September 2026

This policy describes how the FundedNext:Charts iOS app and the service at api.chartsfunnext.store handle information. The app is an educational chart-study tool. It is not a broker and it does not give financial advice.

The developer is Matthew Fireman. Contact: matthew.fireman.83@icloud.com.

Information that stays on your device

Chart photos, extracted chart series, scan history, and journal entries are stored on the device. The app does not upload those photos or journal entries to our server. You can delete scans and journal entries in the app. Removing the app deletes the local copies, except the anonymous device identifier described below, which is kept in the iOS Keychain and can survive reinstall until you delete it from the device.

A display name you type (up to 16 characters) is saved on the device. If you leave it blank, the app may use a generated label such as “Analyst” plus digits.

Camera and photos

The camera is used only to scan a chart so structure can be read on the device. The photo library is used only when you choose Import and pick an image. The app does not browse your photo library in the background.

Information sent to our server

Requests to api.chartsfunnext.store include an anonymous device identifier created on the device. We use it to tell one install from another. It is not your Apple ID, name, or email.

When you save a profile or submit a daily challenge, the app may also send the display name, the challenge choice, and a score. That information can appear on the in-app leaderboard. We also store coarse request counts, and, when the app sends them, a platform label and app version.

The app downloads the research catalog, study series, screener hits, the daily challenge, and leaderboard rows. Those downloads are not tied to your real-world identity.

Model commentary

If you open Second opinion, the app can send a short text summary of the local read to OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) so a language model can write a brief educational comment. The summary includes the instrument label, timeframe, structure, bias, pattern name, and confidence. It does not include the chart photo, journal notes, or your email. OpenRouter processes that text under its own terms and privacy policy: https://openrouter.ai/privacy.

Additional web content

On some launches the app may open additional web content inside the app after checking whether the device is online. That page is loaded from an address supplied to the app. The page can see a normal web request, including your IP address, and may set its own cookies. We do not control tracking on that page. Chart photos and journal entries are not attached to that request by the app.

What we do not do

How long we keep server data

Device identifiers, display names, and challenge results stay on the server until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them to run the service. Email matthew.fireman.83@icloud.com with the display name you used and, if you have it, the device identifier. We will delete the matching server records that we can find.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated text will replace this page and the effective date above will change. Continued use of the app after the update means you accept the revised policy.
